Founded in 1973, Chateau St. Jean was conceived as a true fine wine estate in the European style, where wines from individual vineyards were kept separate to fully capture individual character of each site. The wines received immediate critical acclaim, and Chateau St. Jean was soon recognized as a leader in single vineyard designated wines.

Chateau St. Jean Wines
"This is a nice-quality, medium-bodied wine that offers plum and strawberry aromas, almost-sweet fruit flavors, and touches of herbs and oak."- JIM GORDON
Our Reserve Syrah is known for its deep complexity and bold, distinct aromatics. This wine delivers aromas and flavors of zesty white pepper and rich dark fruit. This is an elegant yet classic Syrah.
This wine shines with bright, crisp flavors. Rose petal elements highlight aromas of apple, pear and orange blossom. Flavors of crisp Fuji apple, pear and minerality mingle on the mid-palate, rounding out a medium-bodied mouthfeel with nice acidity and a refreshing, bright finish.
The Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has a bright and inviting nose with loads of fresh berry aromas: boysenberry, blackberry and baking spice notes. The nose leads to a plush, juicy, full mouthfeel filled with fresh berry jam and dark chocolate flavors. The wine is well-structured with a dense core of fruit and smooth tannins. The balanced acidity gives the wine a long, flavorful finish.
This is a thick, plummy, and jammy red wine, meaty and tannic, with a heft and breadth across the palate. Leather, blueberry, and a touch of game fill the glass with intensity and lasting power. - VIRGINIE BOONE
This wine opens with hints of blackberries, blueberries, spearmint and of mint. This medium-bodied wine is tight and focused with beautifully polished tannins and a long, driven finish. Drink now or cellar for 10-15 years.
